One of the most popular ways to learn the basics of Esperanto is Duolingo. Courses are available for speakers of English, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Chinese. Click the image to visit the English version.

Lernu.net is another good resource to learn Esperanto. The approach is more traditional than the game format of Duolingo. The site has courses, a dictionary, and a media library. Click the image to visit the site.

If you have questions and want to communicate with a person, please email chuck.mays@esperantofaq.org. He will be happy to try to answer your question and can usually put you in contact with someone who can.

There are many resources on the web, some great, some not so good. www.esperanto.net has lots of good information. It is maintained by the World Esperanto Association (UEA.org).
